Dennis Duijnhouwer

Digatilly shot with a 35mm manual focus lens

Not long ago I was making a BTS for “Opslaan als“(Save as). “Opslaan Als” is known for his twisted music clips here in Holland. Here I ran into set-photographer for the day Dennis Duijnhouwer. I heard a lot of Dennis and admire his work, so it was a pleasure to meet him in person. We talked about how equipment can contribute to your content or even be a concept or a style. Dennis never crossed over to digital, he shoots all his work with an analog Contax or a Yashica T5 camera using only 35mm lenses. As photographer you’re technically limited with this type of gear, but the big advantage is that you aren’t carrying a heavy camera-bag, so you can react faster and you don’t scare your prey away. That’s most def an unique style he developed shooting autonomous work and ad campaigns. Hit the link to see more of Denny boy’s work! http://www.dennisduijnhouwer.com/work/portraits-i/
